Rabbi Danny Mirvis
Senior Rabbi, Mizrachi Organisation

Dublin-born and London-raised, Rabbi Danny Mirvis is an alumnus of the Hesder Program at Yeshivat Har Etzion, where he studied under the founding Rashei Yeshiva, Rabbi Yehuda Amital zt”l and Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein zt”l.

After serving in the IDF Rabbinate’s Torah Ethics for Warfare unit, Rabbi Mirvis returned to Yeshivat Har Etzion to study for Semikha. During this time, he held numerous educational roles including Madrich of Bnei Akiva’s MTA program, Racaz of the Yeshiva’s Overseas Students program, and most recently, as Founding Director of the Center for Torah Leadership. Since arriving in Melbourne with their two children in August 2015 as Rosh Kollel of Mizrachi’s vibrant Beit Midrash and Rabbi and Rebbetzin of Kehillat Ohr David, Rabbi Danny and Althea Mirvis have made a tremendous impact across all age groups and sectors of the Mizrachi Organisation.

They are excited to formally commence their new positions as Senior Rabbi and Rebbetzin of the Mizrachi Organisation following the induction with Rabbi Danny Mirvis’ parents, Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, and Rebbetzin Valerie Mirvis.
